This is the card I made for LSC191, which was to make a card using the color pink and at least one leaf as an image on the card.
I made this card using the sketch for DRSC7, which can be seen HERE and the color palette for Color Challenge CC190, Pixie Pink, Old Olive, and Tangerine or Pumpkin Pie.
I made a Halloween card with a pumpkins shaded in pink and tangerine and matted it in olive and pink. I made the long side panel from the same pink and olive used to mat the pumpkin and embellished it with pink and orange ribbons tied in a simple knot.
When I cut the mats, I brushed the edges of all of them with gold before assembling them, and lightly sponged the image with gold as well.
I stamped maple leaves on pink textured card stock in gold and clear embossed them, then brushed the edges in olive green and gold. I slipped these under the sides of the pumpkin image.
After assembling my panels, I added a pink spider and gold webs, and greetings on the cover and inside the card in olive, all of which I clear embossed. The entire front panel was then mounted onto another panel of a lighter olive, and onto my base card. I used brass colored brads to mount the panels.

It seems like sooo much work, but the outcome is worth it. I love the colors and I really love that pumpkin stamp. I got it before Halloween, but plan on using it on some Thanksgiving cards too.
