For today's Inspiration Challenge we were to get inspiration from this wonderful Canadian Artist. I put links to my 3 favorite paintings of his and the ones I took the most inspiration from below my Card description.
He uses lots of Nature and the colors reminded me of SU retired "In Colors" from different years, Purely Pomegranate, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, Vintage Violet, Cool Caribbean, and Marigold Morning. So I used those colors to stamp my solid nature stamps from SU set Good Things Grow.
In my Card, the more solid squares are images from Good Things Grow. Stamped in the colors listed above SU inks.
My Recipe:
I took my Cuttle Bug embossing Circles geometric folder, and embossed a piece of solid Whisper White CS.
I then got out my Aqua Painters and water colored those 6 colors from above on top and inside the embossed geometric circles. The are really raised and embossed each circle has several layers, so it was quite an intricate job to water color each layer of each circle, and then I also water colored the flat paper around the embossed circles. I then took my Staz on Black Ink Pad and ran it across each paper edge to give it that divided look like he has on the edges of his squares.
I matted it with a very thin amount of Whisper White and did the same on the white edges with Black Staz on ink. Then I glued all of that onto the Black CS and punched the ribbon punch twice to insert the twine and tie it. I used my Crop-a-Dile to help attach the two silver Brads on the top corners. I wanted to do them in all four corners, but I decided that would be to much.
I hope you enjoy my attempt to stamp this wonderful Artists style! Let me know what you think, and Have a Great Weekend!

Sweet Heather, this is just so magnificent! Love the colors you used. I really appreciate how you took some of all 3 to come with your own version of art! This is just too cool, girl, and I'm lovin' that twine at the botton! Wow, talk about interpretation, that's what this one is all about. Totally sensational!
