I made this and the next card for Frenchy's Friday Face-off; see her blog here - http://frenchysstampinblog.blogspot....eak-peeks.html. I loved all those bright primary colours even though I hardly ever use them, and the desk and chairs brought Harry Chapin's song *Flowers are Red* to my mind straight away. I can't have heard it for over 25 years!!! So a double whammy, because for the last two weeks I've been trying to find inspiration for the Dirty Dozen theme this month, and failing miserably.
This was the second card I made, using the DD sketch. I was so pleased to even see a red flower with green leaves on the wall, it tied in so perfectly.
I made the background the same as for the first picture. I then cut 2 rectangles of watercolour paper. I misted one with water and then washed the rainbow colours over it with plain watercolours. When it was dry I stamped the flower from Garden Whimsy on in Versamark and added 3 layers of clear EP. I think you can see it in the picture. For the front layer I coloured the image with Marvy markers and then I sponged the edges. The sentiment had 2 yellow snaps added. Then I added some Primas and a punched leaf, with more snaps in the centres of the flowers.
If you don't know the song, check out the lyrics here - http://www.harrychapin.com/music/flowers.shtml and maybe you'll see why they've stuck with me for 25 years or so.

This is such a bright and happy card I can't help but smile when I look at it. I pulled up the song by Chapin and it made me sadder than sad. Such a difference one person can make in a child, good or bad.
