Loved this challenge! I have admired Don Li-Leger's work for a few years now (without knowing who he was), so it was exciting to see his artwork as our inspiration this weekend!
MORE INFO:
The rub-on stitches are "Marcella by K: Stitches Transfer Swatch Book" - they came in a pack of 6 pages worth of stitches - I found mine on clearance at Target for $1.48 (originally $5.99!) - but one pack didn't work and the other one did - oh well! I used burgundy and olive/light green stitches (and finished one card with my extra fine point Sharpie since I ran out of rub-ons!)
I used the Tim Holtz distressing ink to do the edges and a bit of antiquing on my decorative paper - the grayish flourishes were from a rub-on pack I bought from Hobby Lobby - the American Crafts "MiniMarks: Accessories - Book One" and the red swirl/flourish was a clear sticker also from American Crafts (Hobby Lobby) and that pack's name was "Remarks Decorative Sticker Book: Accents, Book 1, Color Sets 2&4"
