I made this card for two challenges. Technique Lover’s Challenge #TLC191 was to use twinkling H20’s for a shimmery, twinkling effect. I am also catching up on some challenges I missed over the past few weeks and this card also features a plaid background for last week’s Ways to Use It Challenge #WT188, “Mad for Plaid”.
For the background, I chose a pink and green Christmas plaid glittery paper. I donÂ’t have any twinkling H20Â’s so I substituted Ceramcoat Pearl Finish, FolkArt Metallic Gold, and Golden Fluid Acrylics magenta to achieve the sparkly, shimmering effect in the angel I painted. I mixed magenta and pearl to achieve a soft, shimmery pink and used the gold for the halo and plain pearl white for the wings and gown. I used regular watercolor pencils for the angelÂ’s hair, face, and hands.
I embellished the angel with pink crystals as well. I used die cuts (Victorian corners, Cuttlebug) and pink brads to decorate the corner. The greeting, “joy”, was cut using Cricut Expressions “Seasons of Joy”. The corners and greeting were cut from white glitter paper. The inside message, stamped in green and clear embossed, reads “joy and wonder fill the season”.

I just got this stamp and am happy to see how you have used her. You did a great job. I love the pink and green and the bling.
