This photo was from my DD's three year photo session - I was just five months behind on the photo session.
I did the blend of the photo just a little bit differently than the challenge said. Instead of just lowering the opacity, I also changed the blend mode. In fact, I first used a beige background layer. Then two separate layers of the photo (which was in a sepia tone). One layer I did a Linear Burn and another Layer at Linear Dodge - both at about 50% opacity.
Then I added the word art by Natali and the border overlay by Meredith Fenwick.
This was really quick and easy. I'm sure I'll do more pages like this in the future! I've always wanted to attempt this technique so this was a great challenge to give me the push to actually do so!

Ouch, the technical side hurts my head - but thank goodness there are artists like you out there workin' the software! What a lovely page, and thanks for sharing your technique in creating it.
