Lauren Meader was back with a new sketch this week.
I needed several cards this week to send out, so I thought hey, I like this sketch, it is rather simple, and I can make 3 different cards, in 3 different color schemes, with 3 different folds and orientations, yet have them all meet sketch requirements. Plus this challenged me to pick stamps, and sizes that would work with this sketch.
.......
My first Card is the Boys Buggy Birthday in Green Card. I used SU's Bugs and Kisses set, and one stamp from SU's retired Toy Box set. I used Glorious Green, Garden Green, Green Galore, and Wild Wasabi for the CS and ink colors. I also used Basic Black ink. I stamped each Grass Hopper in different shades of Green and then ran a stampin spot in another shade of green swiped across it randomly to give the grass hopper's more than one shade. I added some green buttons, and the sentiment is from SU's Bugs and Kisses The Large Grasshopper on the bottom row has green glitter all over him!
For my 2nd Card I used SU's I'm Here, and Tickles and Giggles retired set. I embossed the hands and the feet in a glittery gold embossing powder it is very sparkly! I chose Only Orange, and Tempting Turquoise for my Colors inspired from an old Hostess set Simply Scrappin Pack Friends. I distressed white edges with Tempting turquoise, and stamped I'm Here in TT, I added some Orange buttons to this one as well. I used whisper white ink for the embossing.
The 3rd Card is a Birthday Card. I had to make for a little girl who has 2 older brother's and they are really into Cars. I am sure she will end up being into cars as well, but she also likes Dollies to.
.......
I used SU sets - By Land, and Button's Bows and Twinkle Toes. I chose Passion Pink, Pixie Pink, and Pretty in Pink for the colors. I used those colors plus blush blossom, and Apricot Appeal in markers to color the dolly stamp. I distressed edges in Pixie Pink, and Pretty in Pink. I added a little Pretty in Pink Gro-Grain ribbon from SU, and the sentiment is from retired SU set Something to Celebrate. The car has lots of pretty pink glitter on it. If she has to like cars, there is no reason they can not be sparkly!
