What a challenge! This is another one of those where all my toys are taken away and I feel like I'm being punished. So I kept telling myself, "these types of strict challenges are good for me". And I kept hearing the Spoonful of Sugar song from Mary Poppins. You know, about taking your medicine. That's kind of what this reminds me of.
Anyway, I hope glitter is allowed; I didn't see it on the No-No list, so I used it. It had to have something, lol. So the eyelet part was ok, but I'm kinda ribbon challenged. We have this understanding where I only use it in emergencies and preferably only in a straight line. No bows or fancy stuff. I attempted a bow and that really did not look good. All wonky and lopsided. So in frustration I cut it in pieces and this is what you get. All I can say is it looks better that the bow.
Along w/ the ribbon dysfunction, I have a problem w/ easy cards. This card really would have been easy, if only someone else had made it. After I did the center piece I tried sponging around the edges and hated it. Now the smart thing would have been to start over. Right! I hate to start over. I cut the edges off. Then it looked too little. So I added some off center panels on top and bottom. Then the sentiment looked odd. So I stamped it again and added a white layer. Y'all probably understand why my easy card took fah-eh-vah!
All images and glitter are Sparkle N Sprinkle. I stamped the ornaments first w/ the neptune ink, then shifted slightly and stamped again w/ the cardinal ink. I highlighted a little w/ the white gel pen. I stamped a snowflake trio w/ neptune on some of the open area then dotted on the glue pen and sprinkled w/ glitter. Then added the panels behind (plz see paragraph above). Attached the white panel and the eyelets. Attached the dp. Then did the ribbon thing (plz see paragraph 2 above, lol). Attached to a wine red card and called it quits. TFL and I really need a hard challenge now. These easy ones just take too much time.
My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Great card - I have been told that there are no mistakes in card making, just opportunities for embellishing. There is no way this card is anything but lovely - if only my mistakes came together as well as this! This is a fabulous card! TFS!

LOL. Loved your explanation. This challenge was actually an easy one for me. I love this. Before I read your description I was going to comment on your ribbon. Then I read that you are ribbon challenged. I think that is the best part on this card. It looks great. Nice eyelet placement too. TFS Julie. Awesome as always.

I hear you on LSC restrictions and even when I used eyelets like a good girl they look like brads in the photo.
This is great the way your ornament images coordinate with the designer paper which is wonderful to look at in itself. Thanks for sharing!
