I have been trying to do several Challenge Cards each week, and today I decided to do the
Try a New Technique Challenge
I choose to do the Faux Silk Technique
You stamp on Tissue Paper, wad it up in many different directions and now it looks like old wrikled up silk fabric, Run it thru your Xyron Machine, or paint glue all over the back and then adhere it to your card back.
Then you take ribbon, fabric, or some other procuct to make the fabric looking hem around your adhered Paterned Silk piece.
I added very sparkly lavender glitter to the light lavender parts of the Flowers, but this does not show up like I want it to. It is stunning in person.
I used Old Olive Cardstock and used the faux swede technique and wadded it all up to look like wrinkled swede and used that as my edging around the "Silk".
Lastly I took my Silver Gel Pen and added some Faux sewing to my Old Olive "Swede".
I hope you enjoy it it was really fun to try out this technique and now I am in Love with it!
Have a great Day!
