I made this card for the Featured Stamper Challenge of the SCS celebration of the 2008 World Card Making Day.
For this challenge, we had to CASE a card by featured stamper Sherry (sherrylc05). Sherry has a terrific gallery and I loved looking at all of her projects. I zeroed right in on her wonderful snowman cards. I had been hunting for weeks for the “perfect” snowman stamp and recently found one I really like at Stamp Francisco. It just arrived this week and I was anxious to try it out.
What I changed: I kept her “snowman” theme and used basically the same sketch but with a different stamp. Instead of blue and tan as my primary colors, I used two shades of blue and incorporaed two coordinating designer papers and two different coordinating card stocks. I added corners to the snowman and instead of brads, I embellished with some snowflake buttons. (I cut the hasps off the back.)
I used 3-d dots to lift the snowman and greeting off the page to add some depth. I used the same greeting (“Joy”) but cut the letters using the Cricut Expression.
