I made this card for the Ways to Use It Challenge of the SCS celebration of the 2008 World Card Making Day. The theme of this challenge was trees; we had to make a card using trees in some way. First, what a terrific challenge – I also love trees! DH does as well.
Speaking of DH, when the darling man ran an errand for me this morning to pick up a couple of little things at MichaelÂ’s, he came back loaded down with everything from extra adhesives and powders, to some new stamps, holders for my ribbons, and several stacks of new paper. (He does have a good eye but no regard for my budget LOL. Love that man, though!) One of the paper stacks he brought back is his absolute favorite and had the perfect paper in it for this challenge. So since he helped me out this morning, Honey, this card is for you!
Now, about the trees... first and foremost, the background dp is a tree trunk! (If you look carefully, you can see the grain and the knots.) Next, I masked the haunted house and stamped trees around and behind it. Such fun!
