This is for WCMDFS08 and our featured artist today is Sherry-SherryLC05. What a fun gallery to go through. I was inspired by Sherry's snowman card here Simple Snowman by SherryLC05 at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the same basic layout and theme but changed up the color combination. I so loved her light blue and green combination but when I started digging I didnt have any more of that paper. Sad! I turned to the red and olive combination which I love very much as well. When I first opened her card up for the full view I thought she had used the Spiral punch down the side of her layer but it was actually brads. I decided to use the spiral to get the same effect without having to use so many brads. I'm not cheap.....just lazy!
I stamped the snowman from the retired set Thanks SNow Much with Brilliance and waterclored with olive, red, gray and yellow. I ssponged on the night sky using gray. I used liquid applique to create the falling snow and the ground snow. I sponged yellow on the star and red lights to create a glow for the night scene. I love snowmen.

You must be out of your stamping funk, Kittie, because this is too darn cute. I like how you made the shimmer around the lights so they look like they're really lit!

YAY!! Look at you go. I think I have always loved your snowy scenes best and I love the glow of the lights and star. You sure know how to paint up a picture. DAZZLING. Fun effect with the punch and all the gorgeous paper and twill.

Your card is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I love the spiral punch down the side- I am going to have to keep that in mind while making my cards this year- I can be somewhat lazy too!
