I used satin ribbon to mimick the horizontal lines on the teapot. The ribbons have a floral pattern on them.
I alternated the direction the ribbons were so that patterns were going different directions.
I hand sewed the ribbons to the cardstock because I wanted them the be adhered to the cardstock but still have some depth and texture.
I used my embossing stylus to score the cardstock between the ribbons.
I don't have the patience Cindy had making her paper rose.
I decided to make a sheer ribbon rose.
I paired my ribbons with a rough piece of cardstock that looks a lot like cardboard because I liked the contrast.
I added the quote and brads to finish the card.
Let me know what you think.
If you haven't made a teapot card yet maybe today is your day to stretch your creativity.

Holy cow! Why didn't I think of a sheer ribbon rose? This is awesome...talking about patience...you sewed the ribbon to the card? I probably wouldn't have done that! Hee!
I love that ribbon...I used to have some just like it but used it all up on wedding cards....this is so cool! Love your interpretation of the teapot...love that you showed up again!
Thanks for the link and for sharing a *spot* of tea!
