This is for Beate's WSC59 card sketch - Blogs at Splitcoaststampers, and also for Frenchy's Friday Face-off - http://frenchysstampinblog.blogspot....spiration.html.
When I saw the Flicker picture she had chosen, I nearly backed out. It's an amazing picture, but I don't really do Halloween things. Bu I thought about it, and then thought that this idea would work quite well for the Fan Club central theme of colour. And as a bonus, it just happens that the maths works out right too :-).
I inked the stamp up with markers and stamped it onto watercolour paper which I had lightly misted. Personally this works better for me than misting the stamp, which I ALWAYS either underdo or overdo.
I cut it up into panels and mounted them on some Clairefontaine paper. The plus and minus are punched from the same paper with the slot punch. Those handmade papers are very hard to punch, but if you fold a piece of thin copy paper over them, problem solved. Ditto for the scallop circle. The snail was stamped twice onto Euphoria papers. His shell is embossed twice with clear EP, and I added wobbly eyes. I went all round the edges and round the panels with a gold Sakura stardust pen. It's not really gold, so I hardly ever use it, it matches the paper which I think is a yucky mustardy colour pretty perfectly.
I tried a couple of things in the blank bit at the top but nothing so far has worked. Flowers don't suit, a button didn't look right. Any suggestions? With all the lines I guess maybe it works quite well just left blank.
