Peaceful Pinecones may sound like an odd title...but in the mountains here in Colorado, the ponderosa pines are being hit hard by the nasty bug known as the pine beetle. The trees are dying off...so this is my tribute to the pine tree and also, Sharon (notimetostamp) totally inspired me by her one layer card here:DCNL908 Winter Pinecones by notimetostamp at Splitcoaststampers
I couldn't quite keep mine to one layer, the second green layer was outlined in a copper Krylon pen for more definition. Turned it into a Christmas card with a bit of ribbon that my friend Laurie gave me...thanks Laurie, thanks Sharon...thanks anyone for looking!

Traci, the true artist in you clearly comes out in this wonderful card. Love the definition that krylon pen gives this awesome image. Beautiful card. Trees are such a gift and to loose so many to a disease is so sad for you and your environment. Fantastic card, Traci.

Traci, the card is GORGEOUS! I've never heard of a pine beetle, but that just stinks! The copper Krylon is really pretty, and I am so glad you like the ribbon!

Beautiful card Traci! I love this set, (and think you did good to add the green! LOL) I have never seen edges embossed like that, but *love* the effect.

I'm sorry to hear about those nasty pine beetles destroying your pine trees. They are one of my favorite trees, as is this stamp set you used on your gorgeous card. Traci. I love the outlining you did with the copper leaf pen; it really adds an elegant flair. Gorgeous!
