Here's what I made for my MIL for Mother's Day. I used the Pickles Pattern Paper series from SU. What I liked was that it had opposing patterns that would work for girls and boys so I did all DS's photos in the blue/green series and my DD's in the eggplant/mustard series and the center photo of the two of them together in the purple/mustard series. I guess I should be satisfied that my MIL's reaction was a little more than it usually is. I guess she seemed to like it. I hate to say that my MIL has never been too keen on any of my handmade gifts. She is the type that store bought means better gift thinking. My FIL thought it was COOL and I feel good everytime I make a gift from the Heart no matter what type of reaction it gets. I figure that when people don't seem overjoyed it's because they don't understand the true meaning of receiving such a gift. Maybe one day.... ;o)
And this wasn't my brilliant idea. I saw it in the Paper Crafts TAG CREATIONS Magazine that I picked up at Super Walmart last week. If you love making tags...this magazine is AWESOME! $5.99 from the magazine rack.
I heated the silver brad with my heat gun, dipped it in the mustard and night of navy EP - separately of course - and embossed the silver brads the colors I wanted them
