This is for today's Technique Challenge 186.
Well, I just read the Technique again and didn't realize you were to use matching cardstock and glitter. Mine is black glitter on purple colored DP, and even that is a cheat.
Ok, here is how my story goes...
When I read the challenge this morning, I noticed you need either a glue pad or Heat & Stick EP. Well, I had niether one. So I thought, SHOPPING TRIP!!! After I dropped the girls off at school, I headed over to Hobby Lobby. I didn't find any glue pads there, but what I did find was plenty. They were having a 30% off sale on all of the Cuttlebug stuff so I pick up a few new folders. Believe it or not, in the same area for the first time, I found Nestibilites!! OMG!! I have been so wanting some of the since seeing all the beautiful creation everyone has made with them. So, of course I bought some along with a few other things I hope to get to use in the near future!! Since I didn't find a glue pad, I decide to head over to Micheal's to see if the had some. In the mean time trying to think of an idea for a card, I thought I would make a Halloween card for my September's CCC08. Oh boy did I find things there!! First, I came across this awesome Halloween DP. Surprise, surprise, it was already embelished with glitter!!! Had to get it!! It was cheating, but it was awesome!! Then I came upon these little ghosts. I thought cool, I could make a cute card with these. As I was going through the store picking up things here and there, I came across this awesome haunted house set of rub-ons, and ding ding ding ding!!!! a bell went off in my head and I knew what I wanted to do for my card!!!!
And viola!!! Here is what I came up with!! I cheated because I didn't use any stamps or actually made the BG, but it does fit the challenge (kinda)!! LOL Hope no one minds!!
Everything use on this card was bought today, and to think, I only went in to buy a glue pad and maybe some glitter!!
Thanks Lynn for enabling me to shop!! LOL
I wil be making 10 of these for my September's CCC08.
What do y'all think??

Very cute card. I just love those days when you go to get one thing and end up with a basket full. How fun is that? I love your card, it has given me some ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Michelle, in light of all you had to go through today, I think you can be excused! and it's all Lynn's fault. Your shopping was certainly not in the cards (pun intended) until the posting this morning!! Good for you, getting all these neat supplies! You go, girl!!!

What a GREAT morning you hadf. Sounds like my kind of a fun start to my day! . My little one and I shopped at Big Lots, found lots of goodies there too. Went in looking for a pack of White CS, but came home $78 short. LOL> You can save a ton of money there but its a hit and miss kinda place. Anyway, your Halloween card was well thought out and its fantastic. Cheating or not, it was well worth it. LOVE it!
