Hello, I made this card for my Daughter's friend Daisy, she's turning 8 tomorrow! It's also for the waste not want not challenge hosted by jessjean on the GinaK forum. We were to use an entire 6x6 piece of designer paper.
I love this flower from the 'Flowers for Daisy' set, and decided since Daisy is turning 8, I'd give her 8 Daisy's!
The card base is white, with a layer of pretty in pink dp. There's a strip of white punched with the MS doily lace edge punch, with a strip on dp. I cut a 2x2 piece of dp into 4 triangles, using 2 matted with white on the front, and 2 inside. (you can see in pic #2).
I stamped 8 flowers on white with noir black palette ink. The centers are coloured with the pretty in pink marker, and the petals are covered with stardust gelly roll pen & and aqua painter. I cut them all out, attached 6 with clear glue dots, covered the centers with diamond stickles, and popped up the 2 center flowers.
The inside has the leftover dp.
For the sentiment I first stamped it with pretty in pink, and then tried to off set it with black.
I hope she likes it!
Laurie
