I had just received my primitive-style stamps in the mail and couldn't wait to make something with them! So I stamped this house and colored it with Copics. Then of course... it needed a card to belong to! The heart, flower and candle were all cut out and put on dimensionals.
Then... when it was all finished... I just wanted to keep it around for awhile ~ my first card in this style. But... my husband came home and said, "Let's go to the neighbor's housewarming!" So.. yes... my card was off to a new home *sniff, sniff* already. We had a wonderful time though - guitar and actually primitive instruments were played for an impromptu sing-a-long. The card accompanied a jar candle and I was so pleased to see many candles lit in our new neighbor's home.

Oh, so cute. Love this primitive look and the story of how it got to a new home. I know about having to give up cards...it is hard sometimes. I bet your neighbor loved it.
