another interesting challenge, Julia...mine was to pick which paper to part with! In the end, it was a gorgeous fancy-edged brocade I chose to cut a teeny, tiny bit of!
I so wanted to go another way today and use a fun flocked mod paper by MM, but for the life of me, I couldn't make it work. So I cut into this Creative Imaginations cream victorian paper... My card base is PTI cream. The black panel has been cuttled with the textile folder and nested with a rectangle so I could use this transparent beauty from Limited Editions. She works perfectly with the Inkadinkadoo sentiment! I added an embossed frame from a pad by K&CO. My tage is a BG oldie, I stamped the sentiment in Palette Charcoal and embossed in clear. I added a bit of gold lace and a gold bird brad for elegance.
Please let me know what you think...I know, I was stingy with the elegant paper...but now that I've rippled the water, who knows where the next fancy paper will turn up!
I'm off to lunch with my DH and no, it's not water and lipstick for me...but my lips are sealed!!!!

Now finally, you have a sentiment that I have seen in my lss and had seriously considered! Perhaps this would be a good idea for me for a few weeks... seems the tonage is on the rise over here! LOL! Love your beauty, the frame, ... and the sentiment... and of course that hoarded paper... so very pretty, I can see why! Love the cb layer too... that textile ef is one of my most favorites! A classy card with some humor as a bonus!

Wow, Susan! This is a stunner! I love the image and how you've framed it! I thought it was a photo in a real frame! I'm still thinking it is! Good for you to part with a tiny bit of your gorgeous paper! All the other details are perfectly synchronized for a great vintage look! I totally get hoarding DP - what if I couldn't get more??? Hope you had a nice lunch with DH!
