You did a great job. I love how yours turned out. Could you pm me some instructions too? I have not been able to get mine to turn out very good. TFS!

I found what size to make the label, cut them, stamped them ... added any sponging for background color I wanted. Then I used terrifically tacky tape from Hobby Lobby, put it on over the label on the pen, heated it slightly with my embossing gun. Then took off red coating, rolled and smushed into the glass beads I also got at Hobby Lobby. After it was covered with beads I rolled them in my hands to press the rest in really good.

I want to do this too, but I want to clarify the instructions. What kind of pen? Or doesn't it matter? When you talk "label", do you mean the plastic portion of the pen that encloses the ink, which is roughly 6" x 1"? So I cut out this label and stamp/sponge it. I adhere tacky tape (why do I heat it slightly?), peel off the red coating, and add the mini beads. When do I add the piece I stamped? This is probably really simple questions, but I'd like to make some tonite as teacher appreciation gifts. I do appreciate your time.

I read how to do it on this website, and different people use different kinds of pens. These are just a bic pen. There are many different types available to choose from. I chose something cheap for my first trial.
I used a full page label that could easily be cut to fit any size.
cut it the size I used (something like less than 4" X 1 1/8")
stamped the images
put label around pen
added tacky tape
heated (someone else on this site suggested it, maybe so beads stick better)
removed red tacky tape coating
smushed into beads (in small embossing tray)
rolled it in hands to press beads in really well

oh, silly me. I was thinking label, as in a piece of paper, not a sticky label. Got it now. I'm off to make one right now. I have a box full of school supplies that I bought when they were on sale; must be pens in there. Thanks again.
