Unfortunately, I have been making a ton of sympathy cards. Lost the owner of my company, my 41 year old cousin(uteran cancer), then both of my aussies (thank you cards for the Vets), my neighbor across the street (lost her life from complication of lap band surgery) and now one of my good friends has lost her step son to vasculitis. He was only 24 years old. How sad!!!
I thought this card would be perfect being her husband and his son were somewhat represented by the front image. The sentiment inside is from Impression obsession E5094 stars in the sky.
Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down to let us know they are happy.
The main image is a transparency from www.themark-itplace.com. They have the most wonderful images. I covered the back of the transparency with vellum dots and then attached it to galvanized decorative paper. Hard to see in the picture but it gives texture to the image as you move it.
Lets hope this is the last sad card for quite some time.

This is awesome! I love the transparency, and the background! I am so sorry for all your losses recently What a lot of pain all around you! I pray that the God of life may sustain you and all who mourn.

How lovely - and what a beautiful sympathy card!! I just love it! Yes, indeed , the thought that perhaps the stars are but an opening from heaven for those we have lost to look down and pour love on us is a beautiful and encouraging one.
