This is Alice in wonderland. I know you probably always thought Alice had straight light blond hair. Well, in the STORIES and MOVIES she did. The truth is, she really had a darker blond hair & it was curly, as you can see in this picture. Seeing as how this was well before modern flat irons and highlights, Alice had to bend over the ironing board prior to all performances to get the long hair look. Sure, there were days when her hair wouldn't cooperate, but she had a wig for those days (and you thought Hannah Montana came up with that long blonde straight hair!). And the color was a BEAUTIFUL golden blond, but she sat in the sun for hours on end to get it lighter when she had a book signing (with Mr. Carrol, of course), or a premier.
Perhaps I have exaggerated these facts a TAD, but that's what happens when your stamps and pearl-ex don't cooperate! I used gold pearl-ex with lumiere on the hair, then just plain watered down lumiere on the dress and surrounding Alice.
Scallops on the oval were with a nestabilities die and the cut edges were some cheap scissors I borrowed from my kids. Thus, they are not very even or nice. They are scalloped. With all this talk of scallops, I'm craving potatoes. You do know that Alice ate scalloped potatoes, right? Well..........
LOL!

What a beautiful card! And yes, sure, Alice loved scalloped potatoes, after dreaming about scallops and such! Thank you so much for playing in my challenge!

First of all your story made me crack up, it is soooo you! Secondly, now I want scalloped potatoes for dinner and we have bunches of potatoes so I think that's a distinct possibility. Third, you did a great job with those cheap scissors and this is the first card I've seen for this challenge that uses different styles of cut scalloped edging. I think its gorgeous and I'm going to CASE it.
