Thumbelina was my most favorite story book as a child. My childhood copy of the book had a gray-blue cloth cover and the most incredible watercolor pictures done in muted shades. I wonder what ever happened to that bookÂ…..
I colored in the little image of Thumbelina with regular colored pencils. Had there been more time <> to be fussy, I would have liked to have used watercolor pencils, but the stamp I have is so tiny, it would have taken some effort with a magnifier and my tiniest brush! This is far from the most beautiful card IÂ’ve ever made, but it brought back such wonderful memories. I need to see if I can find a larger, prettier Thumbelina stamp.

My kids always like that movie and I liked the story as a child. Nothing like the illustrations in the books from our childhood, is there? The illustrations today just don't always seem to compare. Very nice!
