This is tonight's submission for the August VSN challenge to use the color purple in honor of the movie, The Color Purple!
My background is a soft green paper and the Bird Call CB folder, dembossed with white craft ink to make it more soft and subtle.
The bird was watercolored with lavendar lace reinker and then highlighted with the white gel pen to give it a head, and feathers. I originally inked the paper with the floral stamps, but then decided the purple wasn't as obvious, so I marker misted the stamp and cut it out and popped it up on the flowers. Crystal mini brads adorn the little corners.
Thanks for the challenge, purple is a favorite color of mine!

Traci..this is so pretty. I love how you used the CB folder. It is one that took my eye but I wasn't sure how to use it....you have showcased it beautifully. Great card!

Traci- what a soft and lovely card! The bird is so sweet. I love the touch of class you added with the crystal brads too. Very pretty!

Oh, Traci, is this ever beautiful! You know I love this stamp and the color purple, and I like how you popped up the flowers. I just got this embossing folder in the mail today, too, so now I can case you once I'm back to stamping!

So pretty! I really like how your grass has turned out and mingles with the stems. Those purple popped up flowers with the grass and bird in the BG give this a lot of dimention!

I just love the effects of that cuttlebug folder - the purple daisies add just that perfect touch to finish the whole thing! Thanks so much for playing!
