Jacqueline's challenge found here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
is to use a treasured childhood book as an inspiration in some way for a card.
I had a hard time choosing one of my own so I used the Little House books that I frequently read to my youngest sister. I thought this looked like Mary or Carrie picking wildflowers. Laura would have a snake or a frog.
Great challenge, Jacqueline.

Excellent card for this challenge! Would you believe I've never read these books? I think I'll have to correct that.

Great job on your card. I had such a hard time choosing just one favorite book. I loved the little house on the praire series. My well loved set of those books have been through my sisters and me and now my girls. The image that you used is perfect. I can so see Mary or Carrie. How I know it wouldn't be Laura is she still has her hat on.

Love this card, JoAnn. And I loved those Little House on the Prairie books, too. I remember getting on the "Bookmobile" when I was a young student and running straight to the Laura Ingalls Wilder section. I was sad when I ran out of Little House books to read. Great interpretation of the challenge - love your color scheme, and that little girl image is too sweet.
