This is for Cindy's Teapot Challenge #7 - http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2008/...tuesday-7.html .
This one was so easy and so fun - only I couldn't help feeling I should have been in the kitchen. I have a craving for brownies, now, and the caramel on the cake reminded me of Dobos Torte - haven't made one of those for years...
The background paper is old KI Memories (like 2005!).
The stripy paper for the sentiment is taken from the handle and spout of the teapot. I just cut a little strip as a stencil in some card, and stencilled stripes onto some white card with ColorBox Chalk Yellow Cadmium and Chestnut Roan. Then I stamped the image with Rangers Archival Black and embossed with 2 layers of clear EP.
The photo-corner was made with some of the paper I made for the cake, clear-embossed twice and then 3 mini-snaps added.
For the cake, I sponged some white card with Brilliance Chocolate, and then painted some texture on it with H2Os in Cinnamon and Pecan.
The cream is Woodware Fluffy Stuff.
The caramel is Butterscotch Alcohol Ink on glossy card, clear-embossed several times. The icecream is textured white card lightly sponged with yellow and brown chalk ink. The chocolate sauce is Espresso Alcohol Ink, again clear-embossed 3 times. I sprinkled some Christmas Micro-Beads in the top layer for sprinkles. The cherry is a scrap of red card punched in a circle, trimmed a bit, sponged with red and white inks and clear embossed.
I am hungry!!
Another afternoon and evening of heavy rain and local floods, so again sorry for the photo...
Hope DH gets home safely, he went over to his parents. His mother rang within 5 minutes of him getting there to thank me for her birthday card from Saturday's Inspiration piece :-).

Guess what I am having for dinner tonight?? Chocolate cake, maybe a little ice cream on the side...definately some butterscotch syrup, some caramel...and one big fat cherry for desert! Hee!...After reading your description, my card and your card....it am ready!! A Dobos Torte sounds fansy schmancy.....I probably could not make one of those!
So glad you mother in law loved her card...I remember seeing it over the weekend! Thanks for playing! Your card is awesome and fun and so perfect fashioned after the tea pot! I love the little cherries on the corner piece too! Whoo Hoo!
