This color combination is new to me, thanks Emily! It is great arts and crafts colors...and perfect for me to use with Mondays' stained glass challenge. Thanks to you also, Lynn, for a very interesting technique.
I am seriously in love with this door, partly because it has a window in it...perfect for the stained glass challenge. I used Stazon black on acetate for this Stampers Anonymous image and colored the window panes with Copics and then a layer of diamond glaze. I stamped the door again on the SU elegant eggplant with TH di walnut stain. I used brads to adhere the acetate door to the ee cardstock. I added a door handle from Crafty Secrets Hardware set...using versaMark and a metallic bronze ep. The knob is layered a second time for dimension. The sentiment is also Stampers Anonymous...Stazon cotton white on acetate and backed with SU taken with teal. The old vintage 'wallpaper' is MME bohemia Backyard 'My Journey' brocade. I ran it through the bug with the diamond folder and distressed the daylights out of it and inked the edges with VersaMagic turquoise gem. The base is SU old olive which I stamped SU old world map in TH di peeling paint. The card opens to the left (a tribute to all us lefties out there!!!)
And if you wonder what's behind the door...it Cosmo Crickets chicken little paper, that's the one of the sky and clouds...I'm gonna ponder the journey the Lord has for me...all the nudges must mean new doors to walk through...Thanks for you comments, they mean so much to me!

Oh wow, Susan! This is exceptional! I love the stained glass door - the colors are lovely! The bronze door knob and the brad hinges are so cool! Wonderful sentiment, too! Outstanding card for both challlenges!
