I have to admit, this is a technique I have not EVER tried! And I also have to admit that I had to cheat. I went to get out my Crystal Effects and it was, sadly, very thick and yellowed. Tried to make it work, but it was think and very difficult to work with. I ended up just coloring the image in with my Copic markers.
I also borrowed a little technique I have seen Nichole Heady do over on Papertrey . . . I stamped a row of polka dots across the front of my card, then scored above and below the polka dots to set them off.
And who doesn't love their Nestabilities?? I cut out the largest scalloped rectangled, slid it over one scallop, then cut it again so that I would have the right sized hole . . .
This makes card #51 in my "Follow the Butterflies" challenge. Here is a link for more info:

Wow!! This is a fantastic image for this technique. I must confess I almost colored with markers as well, but didn't have any reason not to use Crystal Effects. :-) Now I have to be patient while it dries. Love the polka dots/embossed effect idea!

Fantastic card! Gorgeous in every way... bright fun colors and image, and the nesties made a great and perfect border! I wanted so to use my alcohol inks on this but did have some funcional diamond glaze, which works, so I used it but now it will take simply forevah to dry! Love what you did!
