This card was created using a technique I learned at my local stamping Store. I am not sure what the technique is called. To create the batik style images you first emboss your image on mulberry paper with versa mark and clear embossing powder. You then "tie dye" the mulberry paper. I saw it done with spray bottles and a mixture of ink and water, but I achieved the same effect using ink refills and an Aqua Painter. After it has dried place the mulberry paper between several layers of newspaper and using your iron directly over the newspaper begin to remove the embossing powder. The heat will eventually melt the embossing powder to the newspaper and you will be left with the image on your mulberry paper. Very cool look!!

This is soooo beautiful. I heard of this technique done on cardstock as Burned Batik but it is just stunning on the mulberry paper. Thanks so much for sharing.
