Goodbye groovy guava, don't think I'll miss you much (reminds me of my just out of college first decorating days, peach and navy blue), but thanks for the memories, Emily with your farewell to 2007 in colors! There's also a hint of bayou blue in my card too.
I'm celebrating lots with this card...guess that's what you get when you go away on holiday and try to play catch up! This card is a case of Julia (artystamper) WT177 A scrapy double dare color challenge! by artystamper at Splitcoaststampers who was the Featured Stamper #77! You can check out her work here: artystamper's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. I have quite a few saved to my favorites for future reference. This is also a birthday card for one of our own...ButterflyEars...NICOLE. It'll arrive late...just keep on celebrating girl, right on through!!!
I used Groovy Guava as my base, with scraps of MME 29th Market pretty posey print as the panels. I stamped B-Line Design rough texture on the solid panel in TH di scattered straw. I distressed all around and rolled the edges in. The circle sentiment is cuttled using the Nestabilities dies. The Sexy little # is from Crafty Secrets (inked with Adirondack cranberry and embossed in clear). I also distressed the circle. The six is from Purple Onion Designs stamped directly to the GG with ChalkBox lipstick red. The {0} is a rust velvet brad. The shoe die cut is part of the MME group I trimmed the pump and used a VersaMark pencil to go over the red part and embossed in clear. Patent High Heels...definitely stylin'. Added the glittery pink heart brad for the closure of the shoe strap. The heel makes the cross in the "X".
I had a blast casing your card, Julia...you are one talented stamper and an inspiration to me! And to Nicole...I hope your day, week, and year brings great health, an abundance of ideas for creating, and loved ones to share your joy with! Happy Birthday!!!
Thanks for looking, let me know how I did!

Hi Susan, thanks for the comment and are you being cute with the #'s thing.....LOL
I love this pretty collage. I think that you did fabulous on this my BD card. I will wait for it with anticipation. I love the shoe, I will look at it each time I want to wear heels and I can't. You are right on I use to be a shoe addict but now it's just flat shoes and not as much fun as buying a beautiful pair of high heels. I love the distressing and the cute remark about numbers. We will not go there. Heehee
Susan, I will treasure this card always.
