I have been wanting to make one of these carousel note totes that I saw on Cami's blog and this challenge was the perfect opportunity. Using some dp that I had, I took my inspiration from the upper left block of the quilted tote (middle inspiration picture). Since I didn't have any carousel notes, I had to do a bit of improvising. I used a 6" plain circle rather than cutting all those scallops. And for the inside, I used some inexpensive white card stock in place of an envelope. The large blossom is made of 2 large flowers from Doodle This, a faux prima (see tutorial here), a boho blossoms punch out and a button. The ribbon across the lower portion of the tote is faux.

This is really great!! I wish I could take my ideas and put them into fruition with so much expertise. I agree, the DP is beautiful; reminds me of my great gramma's old carpet bag she had. have a Happy..........
