I did this card for Laura's distressing challenge. It is also a masculine card and so it also works for Michelle's challenge.
I stamped the lion from Island Stamps onto glossy cardstock and did the back ground using versamark resist in river rock, summer sun, groovy guava, rose red and artprint brown.
Then I took my pretty picture and distressed it by:
#1 scratching it
#2 roughing up the egdes of the main panel
#3 tearing the edges of the main panel
#4 spraying it with alchohol to see what would happen
#5 letting water ruin it a bit too
The back ground piece is from a grab bag from the dollar store and I dragged the artprint brown across it. The card base has artprint brown sponged on the edges to distress it.
I was going for the look of an old fashioned sepia picture that had been hand coloured and then got ruined over time.
The little tree is sponging through a stencil.
I loved doing this challenge. Thanks Laura and Michelle. Hope you like the card and tFL.

Gorgeous and exotic looking card! Love the richness of colours you achieved and the distressing adds to the raw wilderness look and feel of your amazing card!
