Yes, it’s Thursday....whoohoo....which means that it’s the Ways To Use It Challenge. It’s Jayne here. Join our challenge, have some fun and let us show you ways on how to stretch your stash further. Let the fun begin! Today it's time to ring out the old and ring in the new. This year has been one of the most challenging years around the world and I'm sure that we all just want to see it well and truly gone.
Let's start 2021 on a positive note and look forward with hope. Get out your bell or bell flower stamps, dies, stencils or emphera and make a project that rings in the New Year positively. If you don't have bells, then use rings. Look in your stash and find something that could be used to represent a bell or ring.
Your card or project could be a Happy New Year, an encouragement or celebration card. Alternatively you may wish to just create a journal page kicking 2020 out the door and saying hello 2021...here I am....ready, eager and determined to make it a healthy and happy one.
Let's fill the gallery with bells or rings of all shapes, sizes and colours and let 2021 know that this year we are all united and ready for whatever comes. Anything goes and hopefully we can inspire you to play!
For those of you who would just like to make a paper bell, check out YouTube for inspiration.
Our team has lots of inspiration for you each Thursday.
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how: 1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
A big thank you to Sabrina, Lisa, Cathy and Toni for their beautiful creations and take on my challenge today.
Join in and have some fun with us. Happy Thursday and Happy 2021...may it be a healthy and happy one for you and your families.

Thanks for a fun challenge to ring out the year, Jayne. My half sister's best friend used to be a bell-ringer. Every time bells are called for in a challenge I realise that all I have are jingle bells, and since I didn't want to get back to Christmas yet, I'm glad you said bell flowers are ok. In France Lily of the Valley are emblematic of Spring, there is a tradition of giving little posies of them on May Day. But thinking about this challenge yesterday bright back a great memory of the bells we used to have as decorations on the Christmas tree when we were growing up. We would turn them upside down and make them into little nests for our favourite small toys, LOL.
Sabrina thank you for playing and I love to hear your stories. Happy new year. Hugs

Thank you Jayne for this challenge, I didn't have a lot of bells, but I knew I had somewhere in my stash of 3D decoupage sheets, mixing with other layers made it a fun New Years card, sure will find someone to send this.
For this week's ring or bell challenge, I was inspired by the beautiful lakes and water birds I saw this morning while in Orlando. I created an aquatic scene, using watercolor pencils, and ripped my stamped panels with water so as to give it texture. Added a simple window style mini frame behind my scene, and attached a gold bell to my ribbon border. Did a rather disjointed set of panels for my sentiment for fun. Used a marina like blue dry embossed panel for my immediate background- Behind that are a pair of new knitted socks from my DD Here's A bird's wish

Hi there! I'm new to challenges. I can't figure out how to upload my card I made for the challenge. I know there are detailed instructions, but they aren't making sense to me. Is there a youtube video that would show me how to do it? Thanks!

You might be having problems because you only have this one post...you have to have more posts in order to post in the gallery...at least that's how it used to be...
