WT129 - Better Sharpen Up
Sharpen up your pencils that is! It is time for back to school and everyone know you need pencil crayons for this time of year. And so, today's Ways to Use it Challenge is to find ways to use pencil crayons. I'm sure you all have some hiding somewhere! You can use regular pencil crayons, Prismacolors and Gamsol, and because of a request I've had...you get "brownie points" LOL for showing us how to use SU's (or other brand) Metallic or Pure Color Pencils. I don't own either so I'd love to see if I really need them or not. This was a fun challenge for me as I usually watercolor. It has been a long time since I used my pencil crayons and I'll be using them more in the future!
Please remember to put WT129 in your keywords section and post a link back here. Feel free to make as many new designs as you wish and if you would like to share a previously uploaded design, you may link one but make sure you create a new design as well. The challenges are designed to get you designing!
Sample by scrapnextras:
Metallic Art Pencils
My Samples:
You Light Up My Life
Ice Cream Delight
Thanks for playing along! I can't wait to be inspired! I had to dust those pencils off and now want to keep them dust-free! Enjoy the back to school supplies. Yippee..the kids go back on Tuesday! Have a fabulous long weekend and above all...stay safe!

Absolutely! Any brand of pencil crayon. The ones I used were not the top quality ones. I haven't broken down and splurged on them yet. I just stole my son's school-grade Prismas!

Guess I will use those today. I have been shopping online just now for those twinklingH2-O's. I have way too much stuff now, so it will be nice to go use something I bought when I first started stamping about 1/ 1/2 yrs ago. Wow! I have collected a bunch of 'stuff' in that time. Thanks Julia for this challenge.

I did this one awhile ago, but it uses Prismacolors and Gamsol, so it qualifies!! It's actually one of my favorite cards because I love this stamp and the cheerful bright paper.
Caribbean Hedgehog
I'm definitely going to do another one for this challenge...all the more reason to pull out those prismas!! Thanks for the challenge!!!!

I have a question. I've never heard of pencil crayons. Are they just colored pencils? I have an entire set of Prismacolor pencils and watercolor pencils. Is this them? OY!

Great challenge. I wish I had pencil crayons. I do have the metallics, here is one that is already done. I will start on a new one now. Thanks for the challenge Julia! I love metallics, they are so shimmery!

A wonderful challenge Julia! Coloring with pencils using Gamsol is my absolute favorite technique. This is a quick 3 x 3 card using SU's colored and metallic pencils. It's a great little tag/card to attach to a gift.

how lame am I?? I don't have ANY of these....I've been wanting to get some Prismacolor Pencils, just have not found a screaming deal just yet.
But I do have basic watercolor pencils, and I have some WW Crayons....wonder if I can combine the two and make something work.
Great Challenge Julia!
