Happy Thursday to you all. It's my turn to host the WTUI challenge this week, and I thought we could take a look at pockets.
And I do mean actual physical pockets - a stamped image of a pocket is fine but ONLY IF it creates a pocket into which you can tuck a little something.
There are plenty of tutorials to inspire you, here are just a few.
Double Pocket Card
Flowerpot Pocket Card
Crimped Envelope Pocket card - if you still have your crimper, this is a fun one.
Diagonal Double Pocket card
Criss Cross Card
Double Pocket Bag
TLC847 - Pocket ATC Lyn gives a how-to in the first post for creating a pocket for an ATC from a toilet roll.
Of course any other tutorial or technique is also fine. If you use one from our tutorials sections, make sure to upload your finished project to that gallery! I used the diagonal double pocket, which I have always enjoyed. And after spending some time tidying my desk, I managed to find some little library card style pockets which are just the right size to hold an ATC.
Once you've made your pocket creation, upload it with the keyword
WT859 and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card and is especially helpful if the gallery has issues or if you made a typo.
Here's a link to our
WT859 Put It In a Pocket gallery
Here are links to my samples:

and
WT859 Pretty Flamingo by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
and oops - now I remember I actually started a double pocket bag - which was great fun to make. But when I didn't have anything on hand to tuck into it to give to a co-worker the day after her birthday, I never get round to finishing off decorating it. I must find it and finish it!!
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
As always, my thanks to the team for their inspirational pocket projects:Lisa, Jayne, Cathy
