Happy Thursday, everybody. Cathy and I have swapped this month, so I'm here again already, and we are going to be using torn edges today.
You can use torn edges as a feature, you can mask with them, you can use them as part of a technique, but let's see your beautiful torn paper creations.
Here are a couple of tutorials for extra inspiration. Faux Torn Mosaic
and, I just love the cards in the gallery for this technique which is great for an easily mailable one layer card: Faux Tearing
And of course torn edges make great masking for snowy layers, mountains, the sea, sand...
Whatever way you choose to tear it, once you've created your card upload it with the keyword WT848 and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card, especially if we're experiencing one of our site bugs. .
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
As always, my thanks go to my teammates for their inspirational samples: Jayne, Toni and Lisa.
Here are my trio of cards Sabrina. I decided to leave the photo of them altogether. Thank you for a great challenge. Happy day

Since we all seemed to go with masking on our samples , I tried I get a card made last night using torn edges on the layering...but I was tired and it was too hot. Maybe today!
Sabrina- thank you for the challenge, I used the faux tile technique and made it my own For my card creation I used some fall color paper bits, edged with black ink. Glued these to my card and used an embossing folder to lock them down. Did a 2 layer image of a little girl with a huge pumpkin. Sentiment idea inspired by my own daughter. Here's Pumpkin Pie Yet?

Thank you for a fun and timely challenge, Sabrina. I had fun making these and can see so many different kinds to make. It is great that they are one layer for easy mailing.
I don't usually post cards in multiple galleries, but this week I used a torn edge on my card for the Teaparty and then it came up in ways to use it, so here it is MMTPT672 Fair winds by casep at Splitcoaststampers
