WT770 - In The Shadows (12/12/19)
Hello and Happy Thursday!
I have the privilege of hosting another Ways To Use It challenge for you today. It's so dark these days. I leave for work in the dark and return home as the sun is setting. This time of year, I live my life in shadow. With that in mind, shadows will be our theme this week.
In addition to using shadow stamps and adding in the shadow of an image, there are multiple techniques to try.
Shadow Stamping
Shadowbox Frame Card
Shadow Box
Shadow Box Card

Ah! I wondered about shadow boxes, but I was glad to finally use an image which has been coloured since last December, I added shadows with a graphite pencil and shadow-stamped my sentiment.

I love the shadow box frame card and since I still need another special card for a work colleague (which would solve the postal issues!) I hope to be back with one. I liked your write-up, Toni.
Here's what it looked like before.

Unlike Anita (snietje), who said she often makes shadow box cards, I rarely do that. So that's what I have for today's challenge.

WT770 Kat's HB
Toni- perfect challenge, thanks! I went with shadow stamping my sentiment in my DD's favorite color- green - and kept my embellishment simple with a sparkly balloon shape. Used an embossed background from my stash. Here's Kat's HB

Nice, thought provoking challenge. We've had some nice sun recently in SE WI because it's been cold. Warming up, now very gray. Matches my hair.

I'm working on my "Challenge Catch-up" goal.
My light to dark waves are created by the water creating shadows on the water where the sunlight is blocked as the water curls upon itself. I've used three different colors of ink from light to darks to create this effect, plus my popped clouds create shadows on the card front.
Here is my card: Father's Day at the Beach!
