WT755 ~ A Tisket a Tasket, Show me a Basket (August 29, 2019)
Happy Thursday! Carla, here as this week's Ways to Use It Challenge hostess. I have two challenges for you and I hope you'll enjoy them both. It's the last week of August and summer is on it's way out. So my first challenge is to get out that picnic basket, pack some food and enjoy the great outdoors! Now on to the WTUI challenge, I'm looking for creations inspired by baskets. You can use basket images, bonus if it's a picnic basket. Emboss a basket texture, create a basket weave, die cut a basket or go all out and create a 3D basket.
A search the SCS Tutorial page brings up a number of basket projects, including the Basket Weave.
When you've finished your creation, upload your card with the keyword WT755 and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card. It's especially appreciated by the hostesses!!
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Here's the link for our WT755 gallery. Take a look and spread some love around by leaving comments for your fellow crafters!
Thank you, Cathy, Lisa, Sabrina and Toni for the marvelous samples and inspiration! Here's the link to my card, WT755 Happiness is a Warm Puppy.
Carla I loved that you chose to use baskets today. I had this digi in my file - thought I would use it.

Carla- the perfect challenge, thank you! I am still repurposing lots of former cards so they get a new life! Took a nice fall leaves and acorns background, adding a dry embossed and sponged picnic basket, filled with 2 bright flowers. Added punched and colored leaves for embellishments, and finished with a hand written sentiment panel. Here's fall basket

This was a fun way to spend the morning, Carla. I may do another basket theme later because one of my favorite stamps, which has a picnic basket in it, is begging to be picked up. WT755 Tissue Basket
I enjoyed this technique. I had never tried it before, and I am always looking for something different.

This was so much fun! I made it like Kelly, then ideas began flowing through my head. That was when I made the one previously posted with the autumn leaves. Thanks for the basket idea.

I went with the picnic basket but plan to try the basket weave since I love the way the weave turned out on other cards. Here's my card: Picnic Party

I have to laugh- I've always LOVED picnics, and all the neat accessories one can accumulate for al fresco dining- then I married a man who twitches and swats at invisible bugs and just hates eating out of doors. So, I have lovely picnic sets that have never gotten used. Maybe I'll do an indoor picnic, just to get my neat things used?
