Here's one more from me. I bought a number of new dies in December, as we paid a visit to a Scrapbooking Store in London that I had never even heard of before. This is the first time I have used the tree die.

Thanks to Sabrina for taking the photo, editing it and uploading it for me. I just did the easy bit!! (I might contradict this in the card description !)
The stamps on this card I got for Christmas 2014 and this was their first use.
Hope I'm not late! I'd like to submit my card to the challenge. I used a new medallion die I got for myself as a Christmas present lol. Anyways, here it is:
This is my first challenge EVER I am a new fan member and am testing the waters here, learning the ropes... I enjoyed breaking out a new (to me) stamp set AND using texture paste for the first time.
During my black friday shopping fest, I snagged a couple of kits from Studio Calico. I used as many component from the Walden kit to make this for my aunt. I was excited to also use a new stitched die from Lil' Inkers. All this is so new to me it feels the same trying figure out ways to incorporate the stuff I coordinate, as it does to take a packet of someone else's choosing. I am sure the more I do, I will become drawn to certain colors, embellishments etc, but for now I'm just a babe/rookie/newb...
Ah, and what satisfies this challenges is the stamp was sitting on a sheet of untouched stamps and for some reason it struck me as a nice layout to go with the other parts of this card. I ruined the first attempt so the label is stacked two tall, it gives it some nice dimension that doesn't show in the picture.
My mom gave me a couple of elaborate Spellbinders sets and challenge IC475 inspired me to break it open and figure out how cut and emboss these special dies. (remember I am a rookie so anything more than a basic die is new to me) I found that using the tan embossing mats was not enough, I needed to ship 4 sheets of 60lb cardstock in addition to the mats to achieve the level of embossing I wanted. As I was making this card, I realize that it also satisfies requirements for WT512.
