WCW018 {9/30/20} Watercolor Background on Embossed Paper
Date: Sept 30, 2020 Hostess: Julie (justwritedesigns) Keyword: WCW018 Challenge name: Watercolor Background on Embossed Paper
Oh my! Can you believe it will be October tomorrow? It's my honor to Guest Host the Water Color Wednesday challenge today. And while it may sound a lot like emboss resist, this technique isn't that technique at all. This involves watercoloring a DRY embossed background. And I can't recall ever doing that so it was new to me. It's also very easy for everyone to do. So pull out your favorite embossing folders & your favorite watercolors. I used Peerless Watercolors but any will do. Fair warning: it's hard to do just one!
Remember to use the keyword WCW018 when you are uploading. It'shelpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE

The hardest part of this was choosing an embossing folder . . . weel and then figuring out how to turn it into a card when it was dry . . I never seem to have a plan when I start . . .lol
So, I thought this would be so easy. ( and it was... and I still found things I would do differently next time around I think) I did use large brushes as shown in the video and I think I would pick a different texture next go around. Thanks for this push Julie, here is one from me.
HERE is mine - only a little shows but it is there.
