Hello and welcome to Watercolor Wednesday! We are so thrilled that you are joining us for a new watercolor challenge! This week we are going to paint a mushroom! The tutorial shows us how to draw and paint a magical mushroom. Enjoy the tutorial and then enjoy the creation process! This week I chose to use a stamp for the outline of my mushroom. Painting a stamped image is always ok!

Here I thought we were painting Fantasy mushrooms - turns out when I went looking this afternoon for a particular shape I found that nature produces 'shrooms in every color of the rainbow - I'll attach a few . . . .

Wow! Linda, they are gorgeous! We have seen the most amazing mushrooms at a Civil War Battlefield near our house. They are absolutely brilliant-looking. It was there that I saw the wonderful red-topped shrooms. I have never seen blue though. TFS!

I knew there were a lot of different colours of mushrooms, but did not realize the extent until I looked them up. Every colour under the sun, peaches, oranges, yellow, greens, blue, reds and white with red dots. Plus there are purple, they are amazing!

This looked like so much fun I had to try it. I had a cute digi image to use, so I painted that. And thanks to Linda/bubblestx4, my colors aren't as completely whimsical as I thought -- they might even be in the realm of possibility. Here is my card
