Hi friends! Sorry I'm late - Tuesdays are my late night doing the Inkling so Wednesdays are a slow start for me!

This week we are taking no line watercolor a step further, and adding abstraction!

Lydia, I loved this challenge! I have to encourage myself to relax when I watercolor. The magic happens when I can let go! Your video takes me to a whole different place of relaxation and I can't wait to try this again!

I think this may have been easier with a single image instead of an entwined couple but I gave it a try and happy to actually get it done today since I wasn't sure how I would weather my 2nd COVID shot - so far - so good.

A little question to you ladies who know things around here - I can only see five cards in the WCW044 gallery, my card and others I found browsing the main gallery are note there. Why is that? I love looking at all the cards, but now I propobly missed a few (there are MANY cards uploaded every day).

I think you just have to browse the whole gallery at the moment as the key word doesn't seem to catch them all. Sometimes it happens when people mis type but at the moment I think it is a gremlin - think being the operative word!

I see your card now. I think it is something to do with the updating they are doing here on Splitcoaststampers. It will be worked out when the update is finished. Recently, a card has shown up the next day after it was uploaded. Hang on, it will all get worked out soon, hopefully. As Jay_Bee said, I am checking on the home page, new additions, to make sure if there are any there for this challenge.

No, it's not you. And, that is why it is important to always put the keyword in the title...so if we look for our challenge cards in the "today's additions". Makes them easier to find. And, you always have. Thank you.

So I haven't tried this yet and I have to admit, im stumped. I don't even know what type of stamp to choose. Need some guidance please.

Jean, I just sent you a PM.

But if anyone else is stumped.
Basically, stamp in very light ink,
watercolor without the fine details, of say, veins in a leaf, or facial features.

MOST importantly: No card is ever wrong! So just start and see where your creativity takes you. We will LOVE seeing what you create!

I just had an 'aha' moment: maybe this technique should be called watercolor SUBTRACTION! We're subtracting detail:

Despite Angie's help I hated this challenge so my card is a simple winter tree

SO very cool I had really hated that ink pad when I bought it ( fade out) because, I kept stamping images to color "later" like at work or at night and they faded too faint for me to see lol so, I set it aside and forgot I had one until you shared this tutorial I was like ah ha there is a reason to own it
I did a combo with the FS challenge today using this again. Thanks Lydia.
