Hello and welcome to the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge. This week we are using a video called Northern Lights and Winter Landscape. If you prefer to watercolor just the lights and use a stamp for your scene (trees, etc.) that will be fine. I watercolored the lights and used a stamp for the scene on one card and watercolored one complete scene in another. We are having difficulties posting the link to the video. If there is a problem you can see the video link in each of the design team member's cards....Holstein, kiagc, ohmypaper!, Benzi.

We are having difficulty with cards not going into the gallery or going a day or so late. It is very helpful if you come back here and add your card in the comments section and also put your keyword in your title.

If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:


1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says
www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE

I approached this today in a more carefree state and then just as I started hubby turned the water off to try and fix a drippy tap. Had to stop and start again but still quite pleased with my Christmas cards.

I hope to get to this in the next couple of days - had an early morning Doctors appt and ALL kinds of "Proactive" tests my insurance company wants done every year.... I am just exhausted after more than four hours of testing . . . not the way I want to approach this challenge but it does look like fun.

So, here's my alternative Northern Lights card -- a Valentine for my grandson. Not a scene, but I do love the vibrant colors and I'm hoping my grandson does too.

As soon as I came to link my card, I think I realized what the problem is with my snow shadows - definitely not bold enough if the start of the video is any indication - lol

I had to try this after all the beautiful creations everyone did. I did mine in my Journaling Bible and my lights did some funky things, but it was fun!
