I'm about to start cutting a ton of stamped images for cards - I've not really done a lot of fussy cutting so this should be interesting. I've realized I may not have the best scissors for this project. Do you have a pair of scissors you highly recommend for fussy cutting very small images??

Love, love, love me my Cutterbees (so much that I have a second pair waiting in the wings for when the first pair wears out, I'm not left without them. But the first pair are still going strong after 10+ years. They only ever touch paper. I've seen folk use them on fine wire and other materials, but not here. Only paper for my babies, and they do a fabulous job.)
ETA:. I take that back. I'll use them to cut apart parts of stamps (you know, like words or phrases that you want stacked instead of in a line. The Cutterbees can get into fine detail type places.)

I also like the Cutterbees, and also have a couple of pairs. I also have a pair of We R Memory Keepers Detail Scissors that I haven't tried yet- they came free with an order recently.Scrapbook.com, I think- they get me to order TOO often with free gifts! <style></style>
I have cutter bees after reading here. But I also have xacto knives and cuticle cutters which I only use in incredibly tight spaces as they are curved.
The main point is to move the paper not the scissors. There are a lot of YT vids on this -ask for HT fussy cut paper. Helps to see it. Also the more you do it the better you get. You might want to practice on something else first like magazine images or something on the cereal box...
I have been fussy cutting since I was a little kid---way before it had a name. I was given a good pair of scissors (Wiss 765) that I still use to this day for fussy cutting only. I wanted another, but couldn't find that particular style anywhere, so I went on line and bought a used one (circa 1950). I'm now thinking of getting a third!
I have a pair of Tim holtz...do like, bit a little clunky. Just got the freebie pair of we are memory keepers from scrapbook.com. Not as “fine” as I’d like. Went to hobby lobby to,the sewing section and got myself a pair of embroidery scissors.....they are awesome!!
Do like the other ones and definitely work ok, just not able to get in the corners like the embroidery scissors do!!
I first purchased Cutter Bee scissors at Walmart. They are super for getting into small areas.
I have hand tremors. So, any small move my hands make, the scissors move.
My husband, Dennis, purchased some Tim Holtz Tonic scissors. These scissors have tiny serrated blades. So they grip the paper enough, that when my hand shake a bit, the scissors don't move off the line I'm cutting.
Another plus, (I hope I explain this so you understand), when turning while cutting, the scissors hold their place while I'm turning them. I used to make a small cut, so, the turn of the scissors had a "play" area to make the change of direction. With the TH Tonic scissors, I no longer need the "play" cut. I hope I explained so you get the idea.
Both the CuttleBee and Tim Holtz Tonic scissors are FANTASTIC!
I am left-handed, and just got Tim Holtz's mini Tonic scissors - I am very pleased with them!
I have both a couple pairs of Cutterbees (love them) and I also purchased a pair of the THoltz mini Tonic scissors from a stamp store yardsale for $3--still in their cool tin even. Those are VERY NICE little scissors there!

I use my medium size embroidery scissors but I have found the secret of good trimming is to turn the paper and not your scissors. Seems to work for me.
I am also a fan of my little trusty Cutterbee scissors. I use them for fussy cutting, and also for trimming unmounted rubber, or the excess that sometimes happens with clear stamps. I've had these scissors for over 10 years and they are still as sharp as ever. I would be lost if I ever misplaced them!
Ditto to the Cutterbees and cuticle scissors. I have a pair of curved cuticle/nail scissors that are as sharp as can be and I flip them around depending on the shape I'm cutting. The tips are super pointy so I also use them to poke out little pieces on die cuts.

Thank you all! I completely forgot I have cutter bee scissors!! Despite them hanging on the wall next to me. Lol. They worked perfectly. I had to take frequent breaks due to some finger issues but these were sharp and precise. All cut out now on to putting it together. Thank you again!

I have three pairs of mini scissors. One is a Fiskars. It was cheap. It is good for small jobs. But it's not comfortable to hold. The finger holes are small and hard. This pair is now bathroom scissors that I use to trim my bangs. If someone was looking for a pair of bargain scissors, I'd recommend the newer style with nonstick Titanium and "soft" (rubber coated) handles. .
Next, I bought a pair of Cutterbees because I kept hearing people rave about them. They cut well and have rubber coated finger holes, making them more comfortable than my Fiskars. But, in my opinion, they aren't comfortable enough for long cutting sessions. In my opinion, the main advantage is the distinctive yellow and black design that gals at crops used to ooh and awe over.
Finally, I bought a pair of Tim Holtz Tonic scissors (7" size). The handles are soft rubber and HUGE compared to my other two detail scissors. I thought they'd be too bulky for fussy cutting. Turns out they cut great, even in tight places, and are very comfortable. I've used them for many things, including cardboard and wire. (Bad Melissa!)
My next scissor purchase will be the mini version of Tim Holtz Tonic scissors, the pair that Dina uses. The new pair will be just for paper and cardstock. They look exactly like their big sister so be careful if you order online. Make sure it says "mini".
