Per the tutorial, (in VERY small letters): StartLitStudio (Cindy Lyles) stocks chipboard coasters in her online store.

Otherwise, go to your nearest Chilis, Outback Steakhouse, etc.!:-D HTH!

If you'd like to order directly from a manufacturer, try
American Coaster Company
1-888-423-8628

Shipping is a little more than the cost of the coasters. They do come via UPS and as you can imagine, they are a bit heavy when you're ordering by the 1,000 (minimum order).

They've been very helpful!

Again, speanburg4 you ROCK!!!

Ahhh, thanks Avonlea. I appreciate the compliment!! I actually enjoy doing the coaster orders. Without even advertising, I have requests for almost 2000! Thank you so much for the kind words!!

They are being ordered from American Coaster company. They are sold in lots of 1000. I know I paid about $32 for 1000 including $16 shipping. (yes half the cost was shipping). I ordered the heavy weight, but most are getting the medium weight. I like the thickness of the heavy personally. HTH
Thank you, thank you texasjodylynn for this info. I just finished placing my order. 1,000 medium weight, white, square coasters for $22.41, including freight. I'm splitting this with two other demos in my area, which means I just got 333 coasters for only $7.47 (definately less than I would have spent at Outback-he!he!). That's awesome! I can't wait to start playing. Now, I need to get off the computer before SCS enables more money out of my wallet (LOL)!

I went to my local scrapbook store and she had sheets of chipboard for $.25 each and she cut them to size for me at no charge. So, maybe you could try that as well.

I just ordered some from StartLitStudio off Ebay.

I thought I would start small so I only order 20 for $1.49

Can't wait to get them...........
I really LOVED the Chipboard Container on the SCS Newsletter.

You took 20 of what? from Outbacks? Free steaks? Yummmmm!

Did anyone say where you get the piercing template from? I just flipped through the SU catalog and didn't see one listed. Is that something that SU used to carry but doesn't anymore?

I don't have,my current catty handy, but it should be on the same page as the Eyelet Tool Kit and the Crafter's Tool Kit. It is $9.95. You can also make something similar using that plastic cross stitch stuff, whatever it is called. Granny Hawkins made some a long time ago. I really like my Mat Pack, since it comes with the piercing template and the foam pad to go under your paper.

I found their website: http://www.american-coaster.com/

Do they sell plain ones? I didn't look terribly hard, but all I saw were ones with designs.

Yes, they do, but you need to contact the person directly to order the plain ones. Here's her info:

I organized several group buys to get mine. The company I ordered from only sold them in quantities of 1000. I do have about 400 extra, if you are looking for some. Or you can contact the company directly if you want more 400. Let me know if you want the contact info. Or pm me if you want some of mine.

Try this website if you don't want to purchase coasters in "bulk". eclecticpaperie.com. Look at "alter this"

Eclectipaperie.com is one place where you can order without having to buy in a bulk amount. Also, you can check ebay under "white or plain coasters".
