There are several group buys going on. I don't know who might be hosting one. (I already did one) Check in the product swap area. There may be one or more going on.
They are being ordered from American Coaster company. They are sold in lots of 1000. I know I paid about $32 for 1000 including $16 shipping. (yes half the cost was shipping). I ordered the heavy weight, but most are getting the medium weight. I like the thickness of the heavy personally. HTH
I'm hosting a chipboard swap if any of you would be interested. Any type is welcome whether it's coasters or the letters/pieces we sell in the catalog. It's in the demo swap forum. I'd love to have you join.

That's funny you asked that....I just asked my SU demonstrator this morning, and she gets them from a scrapbook store in our town....although I don't know where THAT lady gets them......
Source of coasters-- www..com may be ordered in lots of 10 or 60 ct-- (12.95) I also thought that Starlitstudio had tham. Blockhead gave quick and efficient service-- would I order from them again-- YOU BET I WOULD--in fact I just saw several things I want.
Stop for a nice glass of wine at a local eatery and pocket a few! ;)
HAHHAHAH OH MY!!! I never thought of that!! FREE IS FOR ME
Outback has perfect ones and they always put a stack on the table! Guess Im having steak tonight hahahah Thanks so much for the idea! You guys are the best!
When we go out to eat and they put the coasters down I always ask the waitress if I could have a few and she will usually hand me some. Also have had the waitress ask the manager if I could buy some. They usually have packages of them in the back or will call me when they get new batches in. They are a lot cheaper then the scrapbook store! Some are the thick ones and some are thin, they are also different sizes and shapes so that makes for interesting scrapbooks and such.
I asked someone here that was selling them and she said that she gets them direct from a restaurant supply place, but that you have to order 1,000, so that's why people are usually looking for others to go in with them. If you do it that way, they are SO cheap.... like 3 cents each. I would say to do an online search for restaurant supply places and see what you come up with.
I also tried to talk my DH into taking me to Outback for lunch today but it didn't work.... I did get some round ones from another restaurant the other day though. I just asked even though the waitress first told me that they don't have any coasters.
American Coasters. You have to call their web site doesn't have blank ones. I ordered 1000 comes out less than .02 cents a piece even with shipping. Better than anything you get off BST. Even though you then have 1000. I have them for making the coaster albums but now glad I have some for the baskets which I love.
LOL....I think it is so funny how something spreads like wild fire on these boards such as the Big Shot on Costco and now they are out of stock. Outback is going to have lots of business and run out of coasters too.
No kidding! I asked about these things back in September, and ended up ordering over 40,000 coasters for group orders. Tracy at American Coaster knows me very well!! BTW, I also got the Big Shot, before costco.com ran out!
The quick & easy answer is - from a local restaurant or pub! These are those drink coasters which some places use.
Some scrapbook stores may also have them, as well as online stores or eBay stores..
If you want to order a *large* quantity (1000 +) you can also go through American Coaster or Canada Coaster. Please see this thread if you're interested in placing an 'mega' order: Chipboard Coasters <---click!.
Where do you all suggest purchasing chipboard coasters from and any other chipboard items to use in some of these challenges? I am specifically looking to get some chipboard coasters to do that gift box on today's weekly inkling tutorial.
Cool! I'm waiting on a TAC catalog from Jessie to come in the mail. I'm considering becoming a TAC demonstrator for hobby purposes. That's great to know that TAC has them.
Thanks!!
I just looked through her store........GREAT stuff.......I will be going back there but it said there were no coasters available...........that the bid had ended or something.........?
Jenn posted in post #14 that Cindy/StarLitStudio should be getting more coasters on Friday.
Also, in post #27, speanburg4 said she's closing an order *today*! PM her if interested - she's the one who started the craze (in my opinion) & she's *very* reliable & trustworthy & fast & I have no idea how she does it! *lol*
I found the same thing when I went to her ebay store. I'll just order them I guess from TAC or see if SU has some. I went to Michael's and they don't carry anything like that, though I found the E6000 glue there. It was cheap. I still used my 40% off coupon though.
I was wondering this to, I know someone was selling them on here.... But I have also seen them on eBay.... But where are they getting those from?? I've done a ton of goggle searches??
