Default What do you use for sewing?

For those that sew on their cards and pageswhat do you use? I have a big full size machine but I dont even know how to thread it and theres no way I want to commit that much desk space to something I wont use too often.

I have tried a mini cheap machine but it would constantly jam and you couldnt control the speed. What would you recommend for a true sewing dummy that wants to dabble and not get to a level of making even a pillow. <O:p

I use a mini machine, but it only does straight stitching. I would like to try the Sew Easy that people talked about on here. (By We Are Memory Keepers, or something like that). I isn't very expensive and from what I understand it punches the stitches, but you hand stitch through their holes then? Waiting on more reviews and would like to see one in person.

I do a lot of faux sewing. I just started using a tracing wheel to make "holes" and then I connect the with a marker.

I just posted about it on my blog earlier this week here: She Stamps: Whimsy Stamps - Stars

I hope this helps.

I use a janome sew mini sewing machine. It is compact and great quality. Does straight and zigzag stitches in different sizes.
It is small enough where I can just leave it out all the time on the edge of my kitchen counter (that is where I make cards right now). I know if I would put it away every time I used it I probably wouldn't use it much. So I just leave it out.

I had never sewed before and I bought the Janome Sew Mini merely for the purpose of sewing on cards. Best purchase I ever made! Now I have a big machine too and I'm sewing fabric, that's how much I loved it. The Janome is so easy to use. I first tried the Singer Pixie machine and it was really hard to use, and I returned it. I've also heard good things about the new Sew Easy, but I've never tried it.

I also use the Janome Sew Mini - love it! I've had it for 2+ years and it's still going strong!

I too use the Janome mini machine. I saw a video that Gina K did with it and I was sold. It's on the louder side but it works great on cards.
