Upsy Daisy

I love the stamp set Upsy Daisy. I've seen so many beautiful cards that you have all made. Please tell me is the stamp hard to ink up? Would I need to use a brayer? TIA

I own Upsy Daisy and it is not hard to ink. You can lay it up on the table and rub or tap your stamp pad onto it. I had no problems with it. I also demonstrated it at a card party and the ladies had no problems with it either. I have several beginner stampers and they enjoyed the stamp set. Plus, if you are buying it during Feb and March you can hit a 50 dollar order and get a free sale a bration set. And if you order from a demo site you get a free catalog also. Have fun!

I also love, love, love this set and it has quickly become one of my favs. It can be as simple as inking and stamping or colouring with markers or I even saw a card that was out of this world made by inking first with versamark then colouring in with pencils. Go to the upsy gallery for inspiration. You will have to then have it for sure....and no, I am not a SU Rep....giggle.

It is 3 1/4" x 2 1/4". I have never had a problem inking it up, but I always do a test stamp first on a piece of scrap paper, then ink it up again. I like to do this with stamps that have more of a solid image. It seems to get better coverage that way.

For me, all of the "solid image" stamps take a bit of patience to ink well. It's not difficult, but I can't just slap it on the pad and then on paper & get a good result. I typically lay the stamp face-up and pat the inkpad onto it - thay way I can see the coverage and keep at it until fully inked.

Markers or the pigment inks are a bit easier on solid stamps, but sometimes I just want the effect of dye-based.

I do this too! not sure why it 'works' but it does seem to work better for me also.

I highly recommend this set. It is one of my all-time favorites. Especially lovely when paired with Urban Garden DSP (another favorite of mine!).
