I’ve looked at the older threads but since it’s been a few years and there might be new products out, how do you use your old wheel stamps? EZMount? Aleene’s Tack It Over & Over? Best way to store the flat wheel stamps? I’m in the process of organizing and purging and making my hoard simpler so I will use what I love and not feel overwhelmed. Thank you.
I usually go for EZMount for the wheels, though a lot of my other bare rubber stamps are just TIOO. I think because of the length of them, if you want to be sure that they are straight, the foam mount gives a bit more stability to them.
I unmounted mine recently and I just use them as is on a very long block or two layers of foam in the S-A-R. Maybe I should give them a little love on today's batch of Christmas cards.

I took all of mine off the wheels, saved one of each size of each of the wheels and handles and covered them with adhesive that I wrap with a removable cover sheet. I store the rubber by theme with my other stamps and just stick them on the wheels when I want to use them. I can also put them on a long block or just use a portion (like one flower), if I am going to cut it out, with just pressing it on the paper. I have even cut around all the images on the strip, returned them to a double-sided sticky sheet in their original position so I can use them together or separately.

Now that your rubber stamps are removed from the wheels, what are some good ideas on what to do with the wheels and handles? I really don't want to throw them away

The unmounted wheel stamps (now border stamps) can be stored in the SU storage cases. You can put them on both the right and left inside to fit more per case. I like to stamp them on copy paper cut to size as the label on the case for easy reference.
I got some earlier this year at a thrift store and unmounted them, applied TIOO, and then stored as described above. I've only made a few cards so far, but they are also good to add a little decoration to the inside of cards or on envelopes.
